Welcome to Tuesday! Is #oow17 really half over? The tired side of our brain thinks yes; the energized, adrenaline-pumping side says ‘no.’ In any case, were coming at you live from #daythree with a little recap of #daytwo.
A lot happened yesterday. Mark Hurd held his morning keynote which gave attendees a look at where we are now and where we’re headed in a cloud foundational world. Later in the afternoon, Mark Hurd joined AT&T CEO John Donovan for a fireside discussion of leadership, business transformation, and innovation at scale. The weather is still amazing in San Francisco, so many, many people were watching the keynote outside along Oracle Cloud Plaza.
As for OPN Central, the OPN Lounge at the Marriott Marquis officially opened yesterday. We had a slew of partners in and out all day meeting with customers at Connection Tables, attending OPN InFocus Sessions, getting the latest scoop on CEI at the CEI Information Station, refilling their coffees, and relaxing. All what we intend to happen here.
Not in the OPN Lounge but not far away is Test Fest @ Oracle OpenWorld. It’s the seventh year we’ve held it and it’s a great program. Partners can earn take certification exams free-of-charge during conference week. Registration is now closed, but if you haven’t taken advantage of Test Fest before, be sure to next year!
As we gain insight from keynotes & sessions throughout this week, one thing is clear: Oracle’s strategy is to enable your organization’s journey to the cloud. To date, Oracle has helped more than 25,000 customers transition to the Cloud. You’ve heard Oracle’s EVP of Cloud Business, Dave Donatelli detail how Oracle Cloud helps your business seize opportunity in a rapidly changing and increasingly competitive environment. And how Oracle Cloud is putting the power of emerging technologies—human interface, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, and hybrid computing—to work for your business.
So now it’s your turn.
Come to OPN Lounge before it closes on Wednesday and share your #cloud story with Erin Sun & the OPN team. We’d love to learn how your offerings support your customers transition to the cloud; your feedback really is a gift! (BONUS: there will be actual gifts.)
