OPN Central Day Four: Last but not least

The final day of Oracle OpenWorld 17 is upon us and it’s bittersweet. We’ve learned a lot this week, and there’s still more to be had.

Yesterday morning, Thomas Kurian and Dave Donatelli kicked off the day by demonstrating how Oracle Cloud is putting the power of emerging technologies—human interface, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, and hybrid computing – to work for your business. Kurian formally announced the fastest compute, fastest storage, and fastest network IaaS and gave the audience a thorough demo.

Yesterday afternoon, Larry Ellison took the stage and wowed the audience with a discussion around how Oracle is advancing the world’s most trusted cloud infrastructure, platform services, and applications. He emphasized that enterprises are “losing the cyber security war,” and that machine learning is the most important new technology to show up in a long time.

As for OPN Central @ OpenWorld, it was business as usual yesterday in the OPN Lounge. We saw a steady flow of OPN InFocus Session attendees and even more today. If this cadence continues, we’re looking at a record-breaking 500 unique registrations! In addition, Connection Tables are still available if you have any last-minute customer meetings. Simply reserve a Table onsite with the friendly Welcome Desk hosts.

We plan to spend the remainder of Oracle OpenWorld in The OPN Lounge, The Exchange, and at the final Keynote & general sessions. For those of you attending CloudFest.17, we’ll see you at AT&T Park tonight. Don’t forget comfortable shoes and a jacket!

And just because the conference is ending, doesn’t mean the learning has to. In the OOW off-season, we encourage you to access Oracle FY18 Partner Immersion Training. By immersing yourself in Oracle’s Cloud Continuous Learning to enable success at every point of the selling journey, you will learn first-hand the incredible opportunities that lie ahead of us. You’ll also understand your buyers’ needs and how to leverage Oracle’s competitive advantages to help you win.

See you tonight,
OPN Comms team
